As “Turn Over a New Leaf” is about changing your cooking habits as well as your eating habits we could see that there is a tremendous need to show people how to prepare and cook all the nutritious food included in the “Turn Over a New Leaf” food plan. So in a flash of inspiration we coined and trade marked the term Kitchen Coach ä.

There are coaches for every thing these days so why not 'Kitchen Coaching'. If you are interested in your health and would like to become part of the health wave that is picking up steam as we speak and would like to make a career in health.

Kitchen Coaching has been developed to address the many disturbing problems that are now surfacing due to the widespread lack of understanding of the consequences of bad nutrition and the almost lost art of natural food preparation and cooking.

The trend of eating fast and processed food as a major part of our Australian diet is having such dire consequences on the health of the general population and particularly our children, that we at Turn Over a New Leaf soon discovered it was not enough to just write books about it, we needed to actually get out and teach people how to include natural food into their diets.
 
We knew it was impossible to do it ourselves and could see that a very rewarding occupation could be developed for individuals interested in health. From this insight the concept of the Kitchen Coach ä was born. The Kitchen Coach Training Program is delivered all over Australian via Distance Education (Correspondence) Program.

The Training Manual is over 100 pages and is coordinated with the DVD (almost an hour) to provide all the information you will need. It’s as if we were there in your kitchen training you.

The program (course outline below) is set out in easy to manage steps with lots of support information weekly reporting and feedback with lots of tips to make your progress through the course very enjoyable.

In addition to the many income opportunities outlined in the Training Program we have been working with TAFE, City Councils, P&C Associations, Schools, Kindergartens, Day Care Centres. TAFE will introduce our program into their syllabus this year and we will be looking to our Kitchen Coaches to take up the teaching roles as they become available.

2008 will be a very exciting year for Kitchen Coaches our business is gathering momentum with the introduction of our latest book and DVD for toddlers ‘Vega and the Magic Apple’ adding a whole new income stream. We are have a school holiday program sponsored by our local council based on the Vega Kindergarten Show. We are working on a Vega healthy Children’s party and hope to have it in place in the next month or so. We have plans to develop Vega into a Children’s Television Program. We see our Kitchen Coaches as a very big part of our organisation and so that you are fully aware of what opportunities may present themselves to you, I have outlined our strategy in full detail in the Training Manual. As you will see we have developed a very exciting program that I’m sure you will agree will put Kitchen Coaching on the map

The Kitchen Coach Ò course has been developed by Di Skelly Heron and Graeme Heron the authors of Turn Over a New Leaf, Real Food Power for Kids and Vega and the Magic Apple.Both Di and Graeme have Government accreditation in training and assessment. The course is delivered via distance learning, which includes extensive visual instruction via DVD in collaboration with a comprehensive training manual and web, email & telephone  support, providing a complete training package. 
The course has been designed to create a new and exciting career for parties interested in health & nutrition. It contains an excellent mix of business, marketing and presentation training, along with skills training in food preparation, cooking and presentation. All graduates of the course will have the opportunity to work with the Turn Over Leaf group and establish themselves as Kitchen Coaches
